Many, many fans reply to Peter. I bet his mentions timeline gets updated about every 10 seconds. I think Peter sometimes reads a few tweets. Some he'll overlook, some he doesn't want to answer. I think he saw your tweet and thought it was a good one, so he replied! That's what celebrities do.. they reply to the tweets they read and like. About the following, I don't think he follows a lot of fans. Maybe he'll follow some that he met in person (knowing they're not crazy fans who will send him direct messages every minute). Most celebrities don't follow fans, it'll get stalkerish LOL!
