Most actors don't follow fans as they could send direct messages to them and if I were them I wouldn'tt want that.
If you follow him he will see your tweets. He doesn't always answer people who tweet him. He picks and chooses who he wants to tweet back to for probably many reasons---if they ask a question he wants to answer etc.,. He has 17,000 followers and he would never have the time to tweet back to people who tweet him.
If you received a tweet back from him already , you should be delighted!
